Selected cues from Alejendro Monteverde's feature, "Bella", surprise winner of the 2006 Toronto Film Festival.

Steph wrote and recorded the score at Mophonics LA studios at the end of 2005, performing most of the instrumental elements himself. He even recreated the Caetano Veloso song "Cuccurucucu" for the film.

The year after writing a rich and up front score for successful indie flick "Bella", Steph took a different route with a sparse minimalist score for Yen Tan's debut "Ciao", a haunting story of love lost frozen in limbo.

STEPHAN ALTMAN

Uncompromising creative powerhouse; conscientious husband, keen local community leader; great footballer, good tipper; and, of course, modest... are just some of the phrases people use to describe Steph.

Since arriving from London in 2002 and joining with Michael Frick to build Mophonics, Steph has written film scores, produced artists, and written music for many, many commercials. And today, Steph creatively oversees most of the music that leaves the studios under the name Mophonics.

He is loved by animals and children.
